Kuih Raya in the Making

I only made 2 kinds this year. I stayed up at night until 3am/4am to bake this. Got only a few hours of sleep. I planned to give some to my family and friends, and save some for us too. Hopefully they enjoy eating kuih raya as much as I do.

Dah nak raya.. tak penah lagi update blog. Huhuhu.. malas punya pasal. I used to update this blog from my blackberry, now that I don't have data plans anymore.. manyak susah loor.. Malas nak duduk in front of my laptop and type because usually I have tons of other things to do. Kalau update guna BB senang sikit, I usually do it before I go to bed- tgh baring2 atas katil.

Alhamdulillah Ramadhan Kareem this year we're still in Wichita KS. Feyruz turned one year old a day before the fasting month, sempat la sambut sikit2. Irfan's birthday will be several days after raya, we might do another birthday+ open house.. I don't know just yet since our schedule is pretty hectic.

School starts today. I am so swamped. Not that I have a class today, just running around registering classes and submitting paperwork. I was walking around campus with Irfan, and all the students looked at me like I'm a crazy mom. Ye la sape bawak anak pegi campus kan. I don't know how am I going to do this..because I don't think that I have the energy of a 21 yr old anymore (the age when I started college). Please Allah give me the strength.. permudahkan semuanya..

Here's a pic of Apam Polkadot that I made yesterday. It doesn't take like apam sgt.. more like muffin. Very padat. Irfan calls them Dinosaur Eggs hehe..

Cantik jugak la kan.. comel2 heheh.. Tapi malas nak buat lagi sbb tak sedap sgt LOL.

Feyruz at 12 months

He loves it when we play hide & seek with him. He loves it when we growl like a tiger/ scream like a girl (LOL!) & try to catch him.

I found myself getting out of breath when playing with Feyruz. Can’t imagine when he’s going to start walking/running around :S

Exam's coming!

salam everybody! 1st of all, i thnk it is not too late 2 wish all of u happy fasting month!..huhu i'll sitting for sessional exams for 6 semester in ths 2 weeks time...the exams will be on 22nd of august untill 26th august!..phewww what a big challenge...i hv to go and clerk case everyday in hospital during ths fasting month.. + need 2 sit for end postiing surgery exam + sessional examm.... =___=
cant wait 2 go home for raya n relax puas2...nway, i'll put maximum effort n try my best for all the coming exams!!
p/s dont forget to pray for me yeahh! heheh =)) papai...

Check it out! We did this early this month, and at that time Feyruz was teething pretty bad before his first tooth came out. So we missed that part in the book. Will put it down on the next one though :)

Day 3- Washington DC (Part II)

Where should I begin..
So after the tour at library of congress we went back to US Capitol and grabbed some lunch.I was actually very excited to see the library bc it was featured in the movie- National Treasure. But what can I say, I'm a bit dissapointed. After makan we decided to ronda2 amik gamba.And from the US Capitol jalan ke Supreme Court- then headed to Washington Monument. It was a long stretch of walking maybe 2-3 miles and it was very HOT! And beverages were sold at $5 per 16 oz of glass, that's like a small cup. Cekik darah.
Jalan punya jalan sampai la ke W monument. Took some pics and konon2 nak pegi the next day naik monument.

Then back to the hotel, freshen up and dinner at malaysian kopitiam- sedap! I want kuey teow now!!!

 That's the end of the first day at DC. We did miles of walking on the first day.. phew. Penat! But the hotel is the best, it's all worth it.

Wagon Ride @ Riverfront Park

Bought this Little Tikes Wagon Trailer for Irfan years ago, but Irfan wasn’t really into it. So we saved it, and now Feyruz could ride it to the park yeayyyy He’s still too small though. We put a pillow so that he couldn’t move that much.
