My guilty pleasure..

... Shopping!!! Ape lagi..

Some women love to shop for shoes, some love handbags (me too but I can afford only one handbag in 2-3 years since the ones that I like cost me thousands $$$$), others maybe accessories. Me, I love scarves.. lots and lots of scarves hahah. And now... I'm starting to like skirts. Humm.. I only wear them so special occasions because to be honest, leceh pakai skirt ni. Plus I have to deal with Irfan, I really need to put on my jogging shoes and sweatpants in order to keep up with him >.< You never know when he's going to run and you have to play chase with him.

Ok back to my recent interest- Skirts. So recently I bought 2 denim skirts from NEXT, and they are wonderful. The cutting are excellent and I love them to bits. Well one of them is a bit tight but blame it on my lemak2.
Now I'm eyeing on MORE skirts.... Omigosshhhhh noooooo... i really need to stop shopping.

Ok this skirt is from H&M. I know it looks a bit short but trust me, I think I'll be fine in it. Believe me, I'm not as tall as the models ;P

The other one if from NEXT. It's a bit like a plain jane skirt. I like the color and the details on it. The skirt is simple and lovely.

I feel like getting both skirts. If you were to pick one, which one would you buy?

Alhamdulillah..

We are back from Tulsa with wonderful news. Irfan had his echo and EKG done and they turned out good alhamdulillah. We are grateful beyond words.

The chest x-ray that was done earlier in Wichita was not accurate and seems like his pediatrician didn't do a good job in interpreting it. He's not a cardiologist after all.
So, alhamdulillah the echo that we did in Tulsa showed better images of Irfan's heart and the size as well. Nothing concerning so far.. and I pray it will stay that way forever amin.

Your life could change in a split second, take a look around and you will see the faces that you love. Never take them for granted.. and never let them down.

Prayers for my baby

Things are not going too well with Irfan. As you may know, he had kawasaki (K) when he was 6 months old and it affected his heart. He had a small dilation/ aneurysm at his LCA that regressed after awhile. It took him 4-5 months before he stopped taking aspirin. Life was definitely devastating.

Soon after his echo result was positive and he was off aspirin, we moved from Oregon to Kansas. He has been an active healthy kid since then. He got sick on and off because of the daycare, but NOTHING close to the K that he had. I really don't like to say the word K**. I feel like it's a cursed.

Irfan has been able to live the life like any other kids. It was a bless for us seeing his smile again and alhamdulillah his echo result for the past two years made us feel like we were given a second chance.
All was good until last week. Irfan and I went to see his pediatrician for his annual 3 year old check up. We requested an x-ray for his upcoming echo that will be done in Tulsa this coming Monday 10-17-2011. We were about to leave when his doctor came back to the our room and told us that his heart has enlarged.
I was shocked.
I managed to pull myself together and asked several questions.
I cried while waiting for Irfan He was playing at the play area in the waiting room
I just couldn't describe my feeling.
I am scared, I am devastated, I am furious, I am pasrah..
I keep asking myself, why Irfan... why does it always have to be Irfan
I have no answer.

Please pray for my little Irfan. Tolong doakan his heart is functioning at it's best and it is normal with no signs of abnormalities. Tolong doa for Irfan's health aminnn..

Mmmm.. pretty colors

I love love love buying blouses. Most of my blouses are from GAP, BCBG and I got some from ZARA at NYC. And now that it's Fall, most of the stores are reducing their prices. Some stores are having up to 40% off!!! Yet again, I still couldn't afford to buy them, too bad *_* Yes $35 per blouse is considered expensive CRYYYYYYYYYYY....

Here are some that I saw at 'The Limited' today.. Gorgeous blouses with vibrant colors! Absolutely amazing :) The purple one doesn't look very nice in here, but it was absolutely stunning when I saw it at the store DROOL. All the blouses are selling for $35 per piece.

My favorite is actually the green one.. I don't think the color is as pretty as the rest but I've been wanting to buy a green shirt for awhile. And it'll be nice if I can pair it with this Tie Rack scarf. Cantikkkk..

I actually have two Ralph Lauren shirt for sale. The sizes that are available are S and L. They are up for grab for RM 180 per piece. I love the shirt, the material is 100% cotton, very light and soft. The shirt has amazing detail of RL signature.

Apple..

Steve Jobs, the co founder of apple died yesterday Oct 5th. The whole universe were shocked by the news.
Such a big lost, I have always wanted to see more from Steve apple..

I bought my Mac about a month ago. Couple of days after I got my Mac, Steve J announced his retirement. I was bumped. Duh, I just converted to apple and he's retiring?! I kept thinking and wondering what's going to happen to apple..

And now Zuhri and I are about to get our first iphone-s for ourselves, and Steve died.. Talk about coincidence.

Years from now, when I look at my Mac I'm sure it'll remind me of the year I start to join to big I I-Pad, I-phone crowd- The Apple-ism. RIP Steve.

House Hunting

Few weeks ago, we started looking at a few houses that were within our budget around $130k-$140k. The new houses (built in year 2000s) mostly cost around $160k and above, and located North of KC. Some cheaper (but new) ones have bad location and not so great neighborhood. Even though those houses have the latest appliances installed and great looking from inside out, I couldn’t justify myself to live in the middle of highway and everywhere else to go is around 10-15 mins away.

Then, we went to see some old houses built in 1970s. Those houses have bigger space or really nice patio and backyard for gardening. But other things looked slump. I saw spiders (dead and alive and big one too) around the houses and many many cobwebs in the basement. That freak me out! And we saw large cracks here and there, and really big ones in the basement. Oh my… and in one of the houses, I saw that the owner still have the original stove (in 1970s!). I asked Helen (our real estate agent) how to use the oven since it has some weird buttons that I had no clue how to operate it, and she also didn’t know how to LOL. Ok so no to old houses!

Out of all the houses we saw, we like this one. It is very close to our rented house now. Just around 5-10 mins away. We live on 48th St, and the house is on 63rd. Easy for moving day. It is also located on cul-de-sac (meaning dead-end street), so there won’t be traffic during the day. And the huge backyard is facing the main street (not other houses) with our own fence. The house is a raised ranch, meaning it has two level, upper level and basement.  Here are some photos:

Noticed the basketball hoop. It comes with the house Smile

The door leads into pantry room. More space for food storage.

We are still negotiating the price of the house and everything else. Hopefully by this weekend we’ll done with it.
