Diaper Pouch

This is  my third entry for the day. I just want to show something that I made yesterday! It's lovely!
Sejak asyik keluar bawak Irfan ke sana sini, library la, shopping la, playground la I always keep a diaper and some travel wipes handy in my handbag. Malas sgt nak bawak diaper bag cause that means that I have to carry two bags with me: a handbag + diaper bag and most of the time Irfan nak dukung pulak.
So makin banyak la isi dalam handbag tu kan dengan diaeper and wipes, makin banyak makin la berterabur. So I decided to get a bit organized mueheh.. so I started to think about buying a diaper pouch for $15 + shipping. That pretty much going to cost me $20...!!! Something that simple cost that much?!

Then I started googling on a DIY diaper pouch. Easy peasy.. in the morning I went to Hobby Lobby to get the materials- kain etc then by the evening the pouch is done. Viola! presenting my lovely diaper pouch home made with love... I'm so in love with the material. Actually there are a lot more, I just pick something that suits me best thou memang dah rambang mata.

I wanted to add some special look to the pouch - not any regular pouch so I added teddy bears ribbon. Kind of regret it because the pouch was lovely as it is- without the bears. Huhuh that's ok I'll make another one without.

Here's how it looks like with a diaper and wipe case in it. I need to add velcro to it too.

Come to think of it, why la I made the pouch at this time of the year. Irfan will be diaperless in a few months huhu.. mana nak pakai diape lagi. Takpela I can use it to put Irfan's snacks.

So sape nak order? lawa tau.. I'll give you a special rate hehe

Potty Train - Part II

Can you spot the air kencing? I thought of putting dye in it so people can see it better tapi mcm inappropriate pulak hehe

Part II of Toilet training consist of:
Pre- Training: ***Two hours before you start training, give your toddler lots of water or juices so that he'll feel like peeing all day long.***

1. Take your toddler to the potty chair
2. Make him/ her sit for 10 mins - meanwhile read to him books etc, play puzzle
3. Wait until he pees/ poos
4. If he pees/ poos CHEER to him or give rewards such as candy or M&Ms or toys
5. If not, put the diaper back on, wait for another 30 mins- keep asking toddler if he feels like to the bathroom.

So here is part II. Part one consist of introducing Irfan to the potty chair, educate him what goes in it, where is his penis and what does it do, make him comfortable sitting on the otty chair without any diaper etc.

Irfan managed to pee in the potty- twice. The first one was on Monday Dec 6. Yeay... then another one today. He's ok with sitting on the potty and peeing in it, the only problem is he still didn't get the idea of the whole potty process. He's not getting the idea that he needs to tell me/ or go to the potty chair when he feels like he wants to pee or poo. Maybe because I keep taking him to the bathroom and tell him to sit every 30 mins or so. But from what I've read that's the way people train their kids to potty. Oh well.. I guess this is just the start until he grasps the whole point of going to the bathroom so often is because he needs to 'go'.

Can't wait for the diaperless day! Really? having Irfan wearing diapers is much easier I think.

Another Baby Shower entry

I forgot to bring the battery for the camera to the baby shower. Tension nye rasa. I was planning to take lots and lots of good pictures sigh. Anyway here are some pictures of goodies that we brought for feyruz's party. Sedapnye the mini cheese tarts I think I'm going to make more this week :)

The majlis was a fun one, met lots of familiar people and chit chatted with mommys yg anak sebaya dgn Irfan. None of them has potty trained their kids.. so I'm not the only one la hehe! But I'm a bit jealous that the kids Irfan's age banyak je makan.. all the mothers takde complain keep saying their kids love to eat?! Why why why la Irfan tak nak makan. Aku ni masak tak sedap sgt ke???
Irfan wasn't in his best mood as usual, meanangis and nak dukung je la. Feyruz didn't seem to enjoy the crowd that much either ehehe.. well he was sleeping for quite a while then nangis je kesian gem. Food was marvelous sampai menjilat jari, man there were lots of food!
I like the Club House they rented for the majlis, the way the set up the food on heated foil to keep the food warm is fantastic too! Tu yg orang tak berhenti makan.. I just think that it is a lovely get together.. too bad it's missing the cameraman *tension lagi*
I miss hanging out with the KC crowd already.. that's ok weekend ni nak pegi KC lagi huhu!

Feyruz Baby Shower Party

The night before, Amin fried some chicken in the garage while I made the sauce for ayam masak merah.

In the morning while getting ready..Feyruz playing with his feet!

We got to the Club House around 1.30pm. We rented the place together with another family, abang Razi & kak Intan, who will be going back to Msia in a few weeks for good.

The food: Biryani kambing, ayam masak merah, ayam bbq, kambing steak bbq, mee goreng, mac&cheese, fruits & cakes.

Baby Shower- Sneak Preview

Just wanted to share some baking that I've been doing for Gem's baby shower- a majlis kesyukuran for Gem yg selamat melahirkan Feyruz and for the people in Kansas City to see Feyruz in person. I couldn't help much cause I won't be there until the day of the event but my oven has been baking goods for the past few nights... very loong night I should say.. huhu. Jom layan gamba.
