The Surgery
It's been a week since my surgery. So far so good, no sign of another infection :)
Actually the surgery wasn't that bad. I was really scared when the doctors said that they had to open me up. I once read on the Internet about people who had surgery and their experience. They said that when they woke up after the surgery, they felt drained/ weak and it was very painful even to move a muscle. And it took a while to recover. So masa hari nak surgery tu, mmg tawakkal je la banyak2. I can't bear the pain anymore (I'll be crazy if I just took the painkillers).
But after the surgery, surprisingly, I didn't feel that bad. Just really drowsy. It felt like I have a cut on the belly, and it was hard to walk for a few days. One thing to mention, if you guys get sick and in recovery, don't miss a meal. Eat eat and eat, and drink lotsa milk. That's what I do, because I knew that I lost lotsa blood. And I feel much much better.
So here are some pics Amin took at the hospital.
My IV. I hate that machine. It kept beeping when I raised my arms, so I had to keep it straight. But can't do it when I was asleep. One night, it beeped 3-4 times. Crazy machine!
Kena solat atas katil. I missed solat before the surgery because I was drugged (with morphine) and it was too painful.
My bandaged belly.

Update at 12 PM
Amin just msgged me again at about 12 PM Pacific Time. Gem had her surgery and alhamdulillah it went well and Gem is stable. I'm planning to call Gem later this evening to see how she's doing.
Gem's condition
As all of you are aware, Gem has been sick for the past few weeks. I think it has been almost 2 weeks.
Yesterday I called Gem few times, the first few calls, she was OK. She said her tummy still hurts but she's trying to take it easy. At 4:30 PM, I called her again wanting to ask about the screw drivers for laptop. And I heard her crying so bad. She said 'sakiitttt...aku dah nak gi hospital ni'. That really scared me. I was a little worried.
At 6-7 PM, tried to call Amin but I think he changed his number. Gem didn't pick up her phone so she's probabily with the physician/ doctor. Later that night I called mak. We talked for couple of minutes until we heard the house's phone ringing. It was Amin on the next line. He told mak that Gem is in the hospital because of the infection.
I saw Amin messaging me at MSN too, telling me that he took Gem to the hospital and will be staying there for 1-2 nights. She's hooked up to IV (I dont know what exactly that is, but it's pretty much like masukkan air or glucose into your body).
This morning Amin msgged me again telling me that Gem will be having surgery at 11 AM. It's a minor surgery where the doctors will drain the infection and I don't know what's next. Hope they know what they are doing. All doctors seem to be crazy to me and don't seem to know what's going on with their patient. At least do some research doctors! Well I have a lot of experienced with stupid doctors and it's driving me nuts. Anyway I'll be posting Gem's update here, from time to time.

My Illness
I went to another hospital yesterday, 15 mins away from my house, after 6 days without any sign of improvement. The pain is unbearable, especially when I didn't take the painkiller pills, and my tummy's so red and hard. The doctor gave a shot of antibiotic on my hip (very painful too) and I got a new prescription of antibiotic, much stronger than the one I got before. And also a very strong painkiller, Ibuprofen 500 mg (usually people only use 200 mg for cramps).
I hope that this will end soon, because next week dah nak mula puasa. If not, I think I will miss berpuasa since I need to take the antibiotic at regular basis (12 hours apart). And like this morning I missed a dose at 4 am (because the first pill I took at 4 pm yesterday afternoon). What happened was that I woke up at 4.30 am, feeling very painful even when I took the painkiller. And I couldn't sleep until 7 am. Kesian kat Amin laa, dia pun tak cukup tido. Asyik berjaga je sbb aku sakit.
