Happy 18 (plus 10) to me!

Despite a gloomy year, I had the most wonderful birthday celeb this year.
On my birthday, I woke up to a dozen red roses, a box of godiva and a card on the kitchen counter from dearest hubby. And my cheeky boy sang the birthday song to me - of course with 'Haaaappy Biiiiiirthdaaaaay to IRFAANNNN....' at the end. He's still in 'his' birthday mode huhuhu...

Isn't it lovely?!

At noon, my besties took me and Irfan for birthday lunch at a super delicious italian restaurant. Had the best tuna sandwich ever.. Irfan got to play with his buddy Mukhriz kecik montel comel hehe. Right before we left the restaurant, the girls keluar kan kek pulak.. wah and it's my favorite red velvet cake! Sungguh terharu. Then we all ronda2 ke zoo with the kiddos. Bestnye kalau hari2 mcm ni hahah.. dapat hang out, lepak2 makan best2..
I was touched!
The cake!

Buddies!

Irfan and I look so much alike

With my favorite boy on my birthday

My two dearest friends that put a smile on my face all day long!
Irfan missed his nap, so he was a bit restless. Me on the other hand had the greatest time ever jalan-jalan.. and the zoo is suprisingly interesting and I did enjoy the trip considering me the-i-never-feel-like-going-to-the-zoo had such a fun time there! I will definitely go there again.
Irfan and I getting ready for the zoo!

Oit makcik bergayo kat zoo haha! I think I was a bit overdressed or should I say over-shawled hoho

My present from tiger- A BIG WET KISS!!

Malam tu we were supposed to go out for dinner but Irfan was too tired from lepak2 and trip to the zoo so we ended up going the next day.

Friday night, had dinner with my two boys. Irfan was so cheeky and happy that night. I think he's just way too excited for me hehe. Went to Olive Garden, had a fine romantic dinner andd tiramisu of course! I had pasta with clams and shrimps, not really a fan but it was ok. Zuhri had fetucceni yg sgt sedap..

Irfan looks so different in this pic

Ouch my arm yg berisi.. sigh

Handsome looking Irfan- geramnye buat muka nakal

The pasta

My favorite dish
Saturday, gem amin and feyruz datang. I made nasi kerabu yg tak berapa jadi and zuhri made some mee goreng mamak + tadoori chicken. Zuhri invited the whole Wichita to our small apt...The occasion was movie night - turned out it was my birthday celeb (again)! Banyak pulak series of celebration kali ni.. huhu Perut kenyang, makan kek sambil tengok movie- what a great combo!

The lovely cake. Thanks abang!
The new addition to my Le Crueset collection. The rectangular poterie is from gem & amin
Love my bday gift.. and the matching color! Tinggal nak beli periuk and I'll be happy for the year haha!

Toddler Activities - Play Doh

As a mother of a young and active toddler I sometimes ran out of ideas when it comes to keeping Irfan occupied. It's really intimidating to see him so smart and eager to learn, but I have nothing to offer. So, that's when I started to google and plan for his daily activities.
One of the best toys/ activities at the moment is Play Doh!! It can keep him occupied for hours and hours, but sometimes he needs mommmy's help to mold, cut etc. He loves to roll, squeeze, smack, gentel-gentel and even step on the playdoh.. which are good activities for his motor/movement development. And I teach colors, type of animals, big-small opposites etc using this method too. The thing that I like about playdoh is that it's cheap for  toy with multiple functions and promotes free play.
Definitely an 'A' toy for this age. The one in the pic is Play Doh Big Barrel for $13.

So here's Irfan with all his gadgets. He calls those skinny purple play doh- worms hehe

He is so into meng-uli his worms haha
Look at the bracelets that I made him...

Eczema

Feyruz had another breakout, and this time it is worse than before. We went to see the doctor this morning. She prescribed him with another cream for the eczema on his arms and legs, antibiotic for the infection, and antihistamine to help with the itchiness.

I have stopped eating any dairy products since a few days ago to see if Feyruz is allergic to milk. Will only find that out after 3 weeks when the protein from milk is out of his system.

The yellow crust on his forehead is from bacteria infection.

Kesian Feyruz.. I hope he will get better soon.

These are Feyruz' photos I took last week. He wa doing fine at that time

Tummy time with Feyruz. He can held up his head for quite some times now. Good job!At a nearby park :)

extra holidays!!

Bangalore, Sep 28 (PTI) The Karnataka government today promulgated 48-hour prohibitory orders from September 30 across the state and declared two days holiday to educational institutions ahead of the court verdict on Ayodhya title suit. The prohibitory orders promulgated under Section 144 of the CrPC will be in force from the morning of September 30, when the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court would deliver its verdict on the Ayodhya title suit.

All schools and colleges would remain closed on September 30 and October 1, the government said. The prohibitory orders would not apply to meetings or functions held indoors and also to the gathering in mosques to offer prayers, State ADGP (Law & Order) A R Infant said.

Love is in the air..

This is so not about me haha! I'm too old and too busy for that L word hah!
I was reading a friend's blog about this wealthy young couple that just got married. The girl is late NAZA owner's daughter and the guy is some anak dato' owner of a hotel franchise etc. Anyway, I'm not writing this to talk about the grand wedding etc nah.. it was so-so for a super rich couple nothing to brag about but I'm just so amazed with the video clips... clips of the preview of the wedding, the akad ceremony, reception etc. And I love the songs that they picked too. Oooohhhh... so sweet couple la and really like a fairytale. After watching the clips, I wish they were actual movies.... so that I can get in line to see the sneak preview, buy some pop corns and watch it on a big screen with boxes of tissues...sigh. I know I'm just a plain cheesy weesy me...I love good love story ha!

So here's the sneak preview of their love story. And this is totally my favorite clip sneak preview
Here's a short clip from the wedding wedding clip
And here's a longer version longer version

I think I actually love the producer of this videos *Manggis* so cool

Oh no, this is not my big sis. It's me again! I like to imitate my mama. She wears hijab and I like to try it on too.
I think I look a bit like Auntie Mah wearing this tudung hehe.
Or maybe not... maybe Auntie Ani...
Definitely not Auntie Cah hehehe..cause my eyes are BIG!!!
Actually dada said I look like him when he wears tudung.  "Arrghhh tidakkk"; mama jerit hehehe
This is my bed that dad put together before my 2 yr old bday. I love it so much now that I have my own space. Mama sleeps on her bed next to me, I wish she could fit in my crib *sob sob*
Hahaha Irfan...Irfan... orang pakai tudung dia pun sibuk nak pakai. Isk isk isk.. he actually gave me the tudung and insisted that he wanted it to cover his head. Dada wasn't around at that time, and when he got back viola;
Dada: 'astaghfirullah.... anak akuuuuu..... ape nak jadi'

while showing the hijab...
Irfan: 'this...this.. this....hiahidiyeowuf-ufw f'

Love,
Mama
