Homemade Strawberry Jam

Two to be stored in the fridge, and the other two (in the tupperwares) goes to the freezer which will last for about a year. But I doubt I'll save it that long hehe.. It took me an hour to make this, from cutting the berries, blending and finally cooking them. It was so easy!

At 7 months: Pre-Babymoon

I'm getting bigger and always out of breath *sigh*. It felt like I'm carrying a big heavy ball everywhere I go. Even when I just relaxed at home and watched the TV, I sweat a lot. And I noticed that every morning when I woke up, I was drenched in sweat. It wasn't hot at all anyways, but I think it might be because of higher metabolism. The only thing I can do is to take a long shower more frequent (which makes me feel really good).

Last weekend I had a really great time with Amin. After weeks of rains & thunderstorms, we finally got a sunny weekend here in KC. And it happened that I got an email from the strawberry picking farm that they just started opening the farm to public for picking.

Last year, we went there for picking in mid-June. The weather was already hot and the strawberries could get mushy easily. So this time, I told Amin, if we wanted to go picking, we better did it early so that we could get the first produce (of berries).

It was worth the trip! I could easily spot the big berries, and it was sweet and sour and yummy..

Amin picked all of these hehehee.. he couldn't stop picking actually, even when I told him to rest for a while and eat because the tupperware was already full. I guess he was very excited :)

We gave some of these to our neighbor since he helped us mowing the lawn all the time. And for the rest, I'm planning to make strawberry jam later this week. Hopefully it will turn out great.

We also went to watch Iron man 2 at the movie theater. Compared to the first one that had a really good storyline (about Tony Starks' weapons that felt to the wrong people and how he handled the situation), the sequal is just a plain drama. As a matter of fact, it is actually a funny love story with some actions. There's nothing 'wow' about the movie, just the fact that Marvel wants to introduce the SHIELD unit and the new superhero for their upcoming movie. So for those who hasn't watch this movie, just wait till the DVD comes out.

We are going to St Louis this Friday until Monday for our babymoon getaway. Yee haa.. can't wait to have some fun!

Mother's Day.. my version

Wanted to eat out since mothers eat free on Mother's day.. best kan! But on that particular day rasa malas sangat. It was Sunday and as usual a cooking fiesta day- a-week-worth of food. So I told Zuhri that I didn't feel like going.

In the afternoon, Zuhri went to Walmart to do groceries and he took Irfan with him. Me as usual busy cooking. After a while, the boys were back. Irfan marching in holding a balloon that says 'Happy Mother's Day' aaahhhh.... sangat cair time tu sebab Irfan was so macho and sweet at the same time. And Zuhri bought me a bouquet of flower and ferrero rouche chocolate set. Sukenye..

I've been a mother to Irfan for 3 years (including 9 months dalam perut of course). It has never been easy but it's sure worth it.
Keep thinking about mak kat Malaysia.. thanks for all your hard work.

Visit from Wichita Peeps

A friend of us from Wichita came to visit us few weeks ago. I havent got a chance to write an entry about their visit. Almaklumla since dipromote jadi CEO of the house, banyak la keje yg kena disiapkan sigh.

We took them to Tulsa. Initially nak pegi Tulsa zoo but the weather was so not cooperating so we ended up going to the Aviation Museum (erk can you believe that. Museum!?) And the museum was so freaking small like you can see the entire museum from the entrance door. But small is good, for a museum the smaller the better huahua sungguh tak ilmiah. But in the end I think the museum is quite interesting.

Balik pegi masjid and met with a kakak from JB, kampung at BP. She's been in the states for ages i think, married to a Kuwaitian. So jom tgk gamba.

Munir's baby.. very bam bam sedap badan. He's very quite, lain sikit dari irfan dulu yg banyak buat bunyi hihi. Zuhri said he kinda miss Irfan at this age. Me- err not so much, maybe not yet hihi.

I cooked laksa johor before they left. Boleh tahan sedap hhehe.
I paid close attention to Irfan's reaction towards the baby; Muhriz. Just to see if he's going to interact with the baby, or possibly play with him. To my suprise, Irfan didn't seem to care. Aishh pelik jugak. Maybe not yet ..hopefully when Muhiz is a lil bigger they can be good friends.

Some pictures of Irfan and Mommy after work. Mommy balik keje and Irfan will be all over me nak ajak jalan around the house. Irfan likes to chase the cats and dogs that he sees around the block. Nasib baik the dogs are on leashes kalau tak we will be chased instead. huhaua

I noticed that Irfan actually remembers the houses that have pets (dog especially). He will show me the direction ...

mentor student project

I really wanna update bout my MSP..but this is the only time that i could find....to begin with, actually MSP is stand for -mentor student project that are compulsory for every 2nd year student in MMC...this is basically a project between mentor n men-tee..kononyer nk eratkn lg relationship...huhuh n u can choose what ever topic that u wanna study preferably yg ade kaitan ngn science...n ur mentor must agree laa ngn topic yg kt pilih..since i really interested in yoga...so i choose 2 do something that relate ngn yoga...Different from other countaries, hospital in india usually will have their own yoga department..Yoga therapy works as alternative medicine along with modern medicine...n records mmg show there is improvement if patient practicing yoga... i decided 2 do individual...since kalo buat dlm group pn bkn semua orang akn buat kerja..huhuh =P

the title of my project is..the effect of combined yoga practices on respiratory n cardiovascular system.. subjects or participants consists of 14 males...non smokers..age 20-23..actually they are all my classmt..=) then i gave them training 2 do yoga practices everyday after class for 10 days... we took respiratory as well as ECG recordings before starting yoga n then compare with the readings after 10 days of doing yoga...yuuupppzzz definitely there is improvement!!! =)

i put a lot of affords 2 finish up this project n have gone through all the difficulties we had our presentation on 24th April.. yeahhh unexpectedly, our vice chancellor like my project so much n i got a bouquet of flowers from him.... (>.<) ^ yyyiipppiiee!!!! pas2 my great mentor, mr sareesh also gave a present for my hard work n dedication laa konon nyer...heheheh n a lot of people asking whether yoga really helps in improving ones health...ade gak orng yg mmg tau sal yoga n askd tricky2 question just 2 test on me...heheh however i managed 2 answer those questions.. =) im soo happy that day!!yeahhh... at night we went for dinner at "basil" restaurant for celebrating our successful project!!! i have gone through bittersweet memories while doing this project but definitely i felt very satisfied n at least have something 2 be proud of.. =)
