Too tired to write

It's crazy over here. Work..work..work..

I worked 60 hours last week, including Saturday & Sunday. And as a matter of fact, I came to work at 5 AM and went home at 5:30 PM last Thursday! Yauzaaaa...totally crazy!
On Monday this week, I came to work like a zombie. And it has been going on for days.
This is all because of my 'end of line paint' project. I have to do some studies to compare the current process with the proposal. The proposal is basically to have color paint operation at the very end of the process. Currently, we paint the plane at the middle of the process; before assembly operation.
It sounds so simple here but there are so many stuff get involved. With all flying regulations, specifications, etc this project was so tricky and needed a lot of cooperaation. And as usual, org2 kat company bangang ni mcm tak kisah je. But most of them helped me a lot. I was so stressed out the whole last week and this week. The plan was to submit the report on Thursday, so since today is Wednesday, I thought I have another day to prepare for it. Tiba2 pagi ni dlm pukul 10, my boss told me that I need to get it done by lunch time!!! I was like %@#*&$ WTF. Nasib baik tak sakit jantung. Baru plan nak buat2 pengsan ke. LOL. At that time I was probabily 60% done with my work. Aiya2...tak makan lunch..dgn menggelabah buat keje cepat2. Thank god, finally I managed to get my 2nd presentation completed today. Phewwww... Lepas ni sape buat mcm tu lagi mmg nak kena penampar la.

Hotty hotty HOTTT!

Amin tgh semangat pasang AC (berpeluh2 doh)

The new AC!

It was so hot for the last few days since we got back to State Collage. Everyday is like 30 degree celcius. Rasa mcm masuk dlm oven hohoho, panas satu mcm. We did everything we could, bukak tingkap, bukak pintu & pasang ekzos kasi angin masuk (tp actuallynya angin panas yg masuk, so mcm tak guna pun).

So last night, kitaorg mmg dah tak bley tahan lagi la, since we are stucked in this super hot apartment for another month before we move out. Amin pun dah bising2, dia main game pun rasa penat, sbb panas (biasa Amin bley tahan main game berhari2 depan TV, tak makan pun tak pe. Hehehe tp semalam dia main dua tiga jam je pastu dia dah give up).

So we decided to go to Walmart to check out the AC. Lepas belek2, last2 kitaorg angkut satu! Hehehe, and immediately when we got home, Amin cepat2 pasang AC kat tingkap kat living room, since we always lepak2 kat living room during the day.

It feel so good, tak rasa hangat2 lagi hehehe, even though the AC's very loud. So last night we slept at the living room to celebrate the new AC. So far so good, tak de la sejuk mcm dlm peti sejuk, but at least it keeps the hot air far far away =D

My comment: A good buy!

Riding the bikes

Me riding so fast =D

Hamzah and I on the bikes. (This pic was taken before the incident, that's why I looked so happy)

Yesterday afternoon, Amin, Hamzah and I rode the bikes to the Hoodlebug trails. I was so excited since it was the first time I went for biking hehehehe (I never have a bike, and the one I rode was mak Amin's bike).

The bike was a brand new Schwinn Amin bought for his mak when he got the job at Kansas City. So no rusty and brake problem, all so smooth that I rode the bike so fast. I was always in the front anyways.

At one point, I didn't realize that there was a stop sign ahead. I was riding beside Amin at that time. When he broke the bike so suddenly, I lost control, and I hit him, and then I felt down on the road. Bushhh!!! (Mcm bunyi durian runtuh huhuhu) But it wasn't that bad. I had bruises and some small cut on my knee and palm. And Amin scolded me for my carelessness. So next time, remember to BREAK.

Shopping for frames

Lawa tak.. lawa tak? =)

Yesterday, I went to Micheals, the arts and frames shop, with Amin. They have a bunch of good quality and great design frames with modest price. But I didnt't buy a fancy one anyways, because I didn't want to spend too much (takut bayar banyak sgt). So I just bought five frames for the family potrait and two photo albums - one for my wedding pictures (I know it's been 10 months I got married, but believe it or not, I couldn't find a suitable wedding album until yesterday!) and another one for the pictures we took while traveling with the family.

Anyway, I bought one collage frame where I can put four photos on it. But I only got one photo for that frame so far. Probably I will put some photos at Lion Shrine or Niagara Falls.

Suprise..suprise

I have been eyeing on this bracelet for weeks! It's a very simple yet delicate and totally sweet with butterflies! Few weeks back, when I was looking at the price on internet, the price was only $99. Looking at the price, I was so tempted. Murahnyeee...and it really fits my need.

I got a diamond ring and a bracelet as a wedding gift (hantaran) from Zuhri. Since both have diamonds and a little pricey, I am always scared to wear them. Ye la mana tau kalau I misplaced it, or kena curi or ade org ragut ke, Zuhri definitely won't buy me a new one. As a result, I have been dreaming on getting a cheap yet pretty bracelet for me to wear it daily; to work etc. I dont want to get a cheap one $10 from guess ke ape, those bracelets wont last long. After few months je mesti color turun la or something will break.

So I went to Kay Jewelers with Zuhri on Friday after got off from work. Cepat2 cari my bracelet idaman, looked at the price tag 'Holly shit..mahal nak mati!'. Guess how much is the price on tag? It's $249. It was the exact bracelet that I looked at in the internet. I asked the salesgirl to confirm the price, I even printed out the internet page to show how much the price difference is. Bila minah tu check...heheh my lucky day; the bracelet is on sale. wooohoooo...terus made up my mind nak beli. Zuhri was a little upset sbb I spent too much, but he offered to pay for the bracelet since our 6th- month anniversary is coming. So sweet of him, but if I knew that he wanted to pay, I definitely will take a much more expensive one. LOL! Anyway...I was so happy with the new jewelery that I got. From now on, mcm plan nak kumpul gold bracelet lah. Wow what an expensive hobby... :) sukanyeee

Bend, Day 2

It has been a while. I haven't really have the luxury of time to write about wbout our trip in Oregon. Padahal the family has gone back home for about 2 weeks.
On the second day in Bend, I started with cooking a lot of food; nasi lemak, nasi goreng etc. We were planning to drive to Portland and spend the night over there. Around 9:30 AM we hit the road, drove about 30 mins to get to Smith Rock, Redmond. It's an outdoor place where people do rock climbing, hiking, or simply to rilex and enjoy the sun. When we got there we saw 4 people climbing up the rocks. Ayah was so amazed looking at them. He kept talking about the 4 climbers all day long phew. If you look at the picture on the right you can see the 2 climbers in the red circle.
Dah puas hiking and wandering around, kitaorg pun started our way to The Dalles. There is nothing much to do there but its a start point of a beautiful road called Columbia River Gorge. I've never been to this place, and was hoping to see some miracle. Huahuaa...After 3 hours of driving, sume muka dah lapar je. Nasib baik ade bawak nasi lemak. Tapi yg terkejutnye pagi tadi masak nasi lemak 3 pot je, sbb ingat ade 3 pot of nasi goreng. Rupa2nya ramai yg makan nasi goreng pagi tadi, so only 1 small tuppurware of nasi goreng left. Zuhri and I dah agak cuak, we were thinking of stopping by at any chinese restaurant and buy some rice. hauhau.. but we finally stopped at a scenic point 'Rowena Crest'. It has a superb view! Took picures and touring sket2. Pastu makan lunch kat dlm van on top of Rowena Crest. Hahaha..the view was nice tapi tak enjoy la makan sbb tak comfortable. On the right is gambar auntie on top of Rowena.

Driving along Columbia River Gorge was fun. There are a lot of waterfalls and scenic point. We stopped at couple of waterfalls, and the most famous one is Multnomah Falls. I felt a little weird taking them to see waterfalls since they just went to Niagra Falls few days before, the biggest fall in the states. LOL the falls in Oregon are definitely nothing compared to Niagra Fall, but waht the heck. Below is a picture at Multnomah Fall. I was suprised looking at this pic, so beautifullll...I never thought that I could take such a breath taking picture with my cheap lousy canon camera. Hahahah..angkat bakul sendiri jela. But seriously, Im amazed.

About 7 PM we checked in at a Motel, Best American Inn. We rented a 2 bedroom w/1 kitchen suite for the whole family. All ladies tido kat bilik with 2 Queen beds, I brought my air bed too. Ayah and abag slept in another room. Kesian sbb diaorg takde aircon. Anyway I wanted to make this writing short tapi mcm banyak pulak nak tulis. phew..
On the 3rd day, kitaorg tak banyak buat ape. Pagi2 bagun breakfast then made our way to Sauvie Island, Portland. Pegi Kruger's farm for strawberry picking. Mak really enjoyed the trip. Auntie said, mak has been dreaming about strawberry picking since forever. Weird..I thought we can pick strawberry even in Malaysia, Cameron Higlands perhaps? About 12 PM pegi makan kat Halal food in Tigard. Sodappp sungguuuhhh. I love Mid eastern food. Pastu pegi shopping kat Woodburn outlet. Enjoy the pics

Too much food

I called enul this morning when I woke up. She went to practice yoga in the morning and she said she want to check out a gym tomorrow. Why? She gained some weights when she came to US. Hehehe and she blamed on me for making her fat!

Well, I admit that Amin & I did a lot of cookings while the family was here. We didn't want any of us to get sick (gastric) especially when we were traveling. So we had sate, pizza, ayam, daging, baked ziti bla bla bla ....

Sate and salmon bbq. Yum!

Amin's preparing the baked ziti. Yum yum!

Bad thing is, bukannya enul je yg gain weight, aku pun! I weighed 120 lbs at the beginning of the year, and now I'm 124 lbs. Very bad! So, since aku pun dah berat, I went jogging with Amin the other day, and I walked for 30+ mins at downtown this afternoon. I also try to cut the meal I have during the day. Like for dinner, me and Amin ate yogurt and bread for the last two nights. But tonight we need to eat some rice, so Amin is cooking fish fillet for dinner tonight. Okay, I need to help him now. I hope my diet and exercise work out!

Bend, Day 1

Friday night 06/01/07
Picked up everybody from Airport. Sume nampak letih but excited. Ayah awal2 dah basahkan toilet org gile2. grrrr...

Bend, Day 1
Started the day dgn masak mee hoon for pot luck kat rumah Abg Rashid. Then pegi pot luck, everybody seemed to enjoy the american-mexican-mid east-msian food. About 12 PM we headed to my workplace, Columbia Air Mfg. Tour2 sikit..briefly talked about how we fabricate and manufacture our plane. Tour around the plant, took them to visit my messy desk...hueheu finally amik gamba kat depan plant. It was a brief yet interesting tour.

About 1:30 PM, we headed to Painted Hills. Kak Mai, Abg Adli & the kids (one of the family here) pun join trip kitaorg. We arrived at painted hills around 3:15 PM..it was HOT like hell. isk isk isk...sume org complain panas. Painted Hills is a very unique place..the hills are red-gold-yellow colored and look like they are painted. These formations are caused by fossils bla..bla..blaa I cannot really explain cause I didnt read the information board that day. LOL malas! So amik2 gamba, then picnic kat area2 tu. Ptg tu dlm pukul 6, headed back home. Before sampai rumah, singgah kat Pilot Butte where we can see the whole Bend from the top ! Enjoy the pics.

Below: On top of Pilot Butte. Bend as background. Sweet.. Below: Thaqif and Naqib comel..

2nd day rehat2

Hehehe first time tulis kat blog. The last time I visited this blog was long time ago, before my family's visit, and there was nothing here. I wasn't so sure if this blog exist, but fortunately si Janet sent me another email about this blog (actually I forgot about it already! hehehe), and here I am :)

Today I did nothing. Bangun, tgk TV, makan, tgk TV some more, makan, pastu petang dah tertido. I had a very good nap for 2 hours :) Pastu bangun makan lagi, and tgk TV lagi. Bile dah penat tgk TV, baru la ade mood nak usha2 gambar hehehe.

Best betul tgk gambar2 tu. Teringat masa si nol ngan meng ngan janet ade kat sini. Best la kalu sume org bley dok sama2. Entah bile eh kita bley dok sama2 lagi. Well I know we all have our own lives bile dah besar ni, takde la mcm dulu2 when we shared a bedroom kan. Lgpun aku ngan si janet dah kawin hehehe. Tp zaman kecik2 tu mmg best la, asyik teringat si nol yg bulat, rambut dia bulat, badan dia pun bulat :D

Final day at Bend, OR

Very very sedey. I sent off my family for Newark just now. They departured at 12:25 PM.
I didn't go to work this morning, decided to go to work after sending my family to airport. Woke up at 8:15 AM, terus masuk bilik nya & meng. Saw nya tgh terbaring mcm bapak beruang..ahaha tgh mkn nasi goreng kot. Cuddle2 dgn nya and cot cet2. As usual Nya keep asking me about hal 'rumah tangga'.
After sending everybody off, I have to drag my ass to office. Aiyak..menyampah betul. The next day..sakit la pulak.

Few things that I regret:
- lupa nak bawak diaorg pegi souvenir shop kat Bend
- lupa nak bagi duit kat enol/ meng/ and mak for belanja kat msia
- tak sempat nak buat travel scrap book before diaorg dtg
- too little time, too much to do ! hopefully mend n enol dpt dtg LA winter ni. Boleh plan pegi Disneyland & Univ Studio
